NFA Scholars Visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island
Ms. Treus’s ENL students at NFA Main Campus attended a field trip to the Statue of Liberty. After studying their unit on the statue and Ellis island, students were able to see the statue and Ellis island in person.

115 Scholar Athletes Recognized by New York State
To receive Scholar-Athlete team recognition with a certificate, the team’s average GPA for 75% of the roster must be greater than or equal to 90.00. If an individual earns a 90 or above GPA they will be considered an Individual Scholar-Athlete.

Newburgh Free Academy is hosting a Poetry Slam on April 25th from 5pm - 8pm at Barnes & Noble in Newburgh. Students who want to read an original poem should sign up with their school librarian.

Empty Bowls is Back!
For those new to the NFA community, Empty Bowls is a national network of volunteer efforts to provide hunger relief. All proceeds go to the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley, the main supplier to local food pantries and soup kitchens.
