The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from 12pm (noon) Tuesday to 8pm Wednesday. Please make sure your children are dressed appropriately for these unseasonably warm weather conditions. Parents/guardians may also want to send their child(ren) to school with a refillable water bottle to help them remain hydrated throughout the day. Nearly all of our classroom spaces have air-conditioning, however, it is important for our students to be prepared for the unseasonably warm weather conditions anticipated for this week.
Below, please find important reminders for the remainder of the school year.
Important Dates for JUNE 2024:
Tuesday, June 18th - NECSD School Budget (Revised)/Board of Education Election (Runoff)
Wednesday, June 19th - District Closed | Juneteenth
Monday, June 24th - 1/2 day for students in grades PreK-6 | 1/2 day dismissal schedule
Tuesday, June 25th - 1/2 day for students in grades PreK-6 | 1/2 day dismissal schedule
Wednesday, June 26th - 1/2 day for all students; Last day of school | 1/2 day dismissal schedule
Important Dates for JULY 2024:
Thursday, July 4th | District Closed | Independence Day
Thursday, July 5th | District Closed

Families should have received a colorful calendar in their child's backpack earlier this year! Calendars were distributed one per family to the youngest and only children of each household. If you need a calendar for your home, please contact your child's school building or email Communications@necsd.net.
