Letter from New Horizon's Principal - Mr. Glowacki
Dear Students and Families,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as your new Principal of Horizons-on-the-Hudson Magnet School. It is an honor to have recently been selected as your Principal. I take this position understanding that it comes with great responsibility.
I began my teaching career at Iroquois Point Elementary School in Hawaii, a certified International Baccalaureate school in January 2010 as a Special Educator. This experience has afforded me the opportunity to see how a school-wide implementation of International Baccalaureate can positively impact all students. The last three years I have been working for Newburgh Enlarged City School District as a Supervisor of Exceptional Learners. It has been an honor supporting our students with disabilities in Newburgh. As a Chairperson of the Committee on Special Education, I have focused on high quality, data-driven dialogue with parents and guardians to ensure they understand the special education process, are aware of their child's strengths and weaknesses, and understand the instructional strategies members of the team are implementing.
Throughout my time in Newburgh Enlarged City School District, I have had the opportunity to spend time at Horizons-on-the-Hudson Magnet School and I have witnessed and felt a deep belief that all students can and will learn. I am beyond excited to get to know all of the wonderful families and students!
I am looking forward to establishing wonderful working relationship with all families. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out at anytime!
Sincerely,
Rob Glowacki
Principal of Horizons-on-the-Hudson
