Contest Winner, Crystal Perez, Designs New Windsor School Buddy Bench

In celebration of the beautifully crafted “Buddy Bench” given to all schools in celebration of NECSD Day, New Windsor School decided to have a school wide contest for the bench’s design.  The winner, Crystal Perez, a second grader in Ms. Stone’s class created a wonderful and unique design.  Crystal first sketched her idea on a small drawing of the bench.  After all of the entries were submitted, it was decided that Crystal’s design was the winner!  Along with Ms. De Forest, the Art teacher at NWS and the help of other students, the bench is now painted and complete.  We look forward to sitting with our buddies soon!
