Technology Department Celebrates Successful Year

The Technology Department hosted a celebration of the implementation of technology throughout the district. Sponsored by Promethean, faculty and staff gathered to celebrate the successful integration of the Promethean technology throughout the district. Faculty and staff continued to learn from each other by exploring different uses for and capabilities of the boards. Each learning space in every building throughout the Newburgh Enlarged City School District has a Promethean board to enhance learning opportunities for our scholars.

Throughout the year, faculty and staff throughout the district have engaged in trainings on the use of the smart technology as well as professional development sessions that allow for creative planning for the use of the technology in unique ways that are engaging for scholars of all ages. Promethean’s professional development engages educators in professional learning that is guided by their need and requirements to help them seamlessly integrate technology into curriculum and instruction. They provide a suite of offerings that will guide our teachers through effective instruction with their Promethean solution, as well as other technologies, including iPads, Android, Chromebooks, and Google. Customized consultations are offered to ensure our educators are receiving courses that will impact their everyday teaching. All Promethean Education Consultants are certified Google Educators and have various other certifications.
