New Windsor School Hosts Annual Career Day and Panel
New Windsor School hosted their annual Career Day and Panel this past Wednesday, May 30th 2018. Scholars were encouraged to come to school dressed as their future career plan. A panel was held for 4th and 5th grades with special guest speakers across various industries. Guest speakers included Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Padilla, Officer Jeremy from New Windsor Police Department, Officers Cannon and Reyes from NYPD, Ms. Gonzalez a Medical Technician, Ms. Lopez a Marketing Manager, Mr. Anthony Bruce a Computer Programmer/Technology Specialist with NECSD, and Ms. Shanna Sands a local Fitness Instructor at Sportsplex of New Windsor. Speakers shared some challenges of their chosen fields, insight on to how they got to where they are today, and how to best prepare for their chosen careers. Scholars came ready to ask intuitive questions! See a photo here of the event.
Special thanks to all guest speakers who came in and volunteered their time!
