Boys Varsity Soccer Team's Section 9 Championship

It is with great pride that we celebrate our Boys Varsity Soccer Team's Section 9 Championship win over Monroe Woodbury Tuesday night at Faller Field in Middletown.

NFA entered the Section 9 Tournament as the #4 seed in the tournament, knocking off a tough FDR team that was ranked 19th in NYS. The Goldbacks then traveled to the #1 seed of the tournament and #3 in NYS, taking a victory over Washingtonville. The Goldbacks played one of their best games of the season last night as they faced the 9th ranked team in NYS, dominating the second half with great team play. The Goldbacks stayed unified, scoring the only goal of the game with only 2:03 left in the game.

The Goldbacks will now enter the NYS Tournament where they will see the winner of Section 1 and 4 on Saturday afternoon at 3pm, again at Faller Field in Middletown.
