Meadow Hill School Female Scholars Participate in FIREWORKS
On Thursday, May 3, about 30 fourth and fifth grade girls participated in FIREWORKS!, a girl empowerment program developed by Melissa Czarnogursky, a West Point Cadet and her team of female representatives from the military academy. The program kicked off a collaboration between Meadow Hill and West Point to provide an after school program targeting young ladies' character development, setting long-term goals, and being empowered.
The students participated in collaborative activities, telling what their life goals are, and creating a star that shows what one of their goals is, as well as writing on each others' stars to encourage and support each other. When they left, they were high-fiving and hugging their leaders. What a great program for Meadow Hill!
