Meadow Hill is “Cooking It Up” with Chef Wenzel!
Meadow Hill’s 8th grade students have been cooking up a storm with the new Home and Career Skills teacher, Mr. Wenzel. This is Mr. Wenzel’s first year teaching in the district, and he is cooking up a storm with his culinary team of eager 8th graders. Delicious treats of fried dough, fresh fruit smoothies, Irish soda bread, decadent baked cookies, and fluffy pancakes made to order are just some of the culinary delights that have been delivered to classrooms throughout the building as well as featured at staff events.
Mr. Wenzel is a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy as well as a CIA trained chef. Over the past decade he has worked as lead line cook, executive sous chef, and chef de tournant in reputable NYC restaurants including Bobby Flay Steak, Gordon Ramsay at The London Hotel, Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bakery, and Michael White’s Marea. Meadow Hill is proud to welcome this GEM as its latest addition to the Meadow Hill family.
