Mrs. Martin’s and Mrs. DeSpuva's Class At Balmville Elementary Host Book Tasting!

Mrs. Martin and Mrs. DeSpuva thought it was important to give their young scholars a chance to experience different genres of literature with their parents/families. They came up with the wonderful idea of hosting a book tasting this week, in which parents were invited to come in and read with their child. The scholars were exposed to genres such as, non-fiction, graphic fiction, bilingual, and many others. The teachers did a fabulous job decorating and transforming their classroom into a mini-restaurant, with a menu of book titles. Those who attended also had the opportunity to decorate a book mark keepsake  A great time was had by all! Scholars were each gifted with a brand new book to bring home, along with some snacks and treats. See a photo recap here.
