Alyson Murphy, a Vails Gate Gator Has Perfect Attendance 3 Years in a Row!

Alyson Murphy, a 5th grade student at Vails Gate STEAM Academy has had perfect attendance since the 2nd grade, making this her third straight year. Alyson credits her achievement to her older sister, who she says is "a big motivation" every morning encouraging her to get ready for school each day for as long as she can remember. She set a goal for herself back in the 2nd grade to achieve perfect attendance and has kept it her goal every year since then. Alyson is described by all those who know her as a true "go-getter" with a thirst for learning. She loves coming to school and enjoys her classmates and teachers very much. She also has every intention on keeping her streak going through middle and high school. Alyson has some advice for those students who might find it difficult or may not want to come to school, "there is always someone here at school to talk to if you need help, don't be afraid to ask for help, and make sure you start with setting a goal".
