THA: Family Paper Pumpkin Contest
This year the PBIS Committee is celebrating the fall spirit by having a pumpkin decorating contest. All families are invited to decorate a paper pumpkin that represents their families. Pumpkins should be dropped off in the main office by Monday, October 31. All pumpkins will be placed in our THA Fall Pumpkin Patch.
CONTEST RULES: 1. Absolutely no carved pumpkins. Carved pumpkins rot, attract bugs, and smell. Most importantly, we do not want a child handling a knife or carving tools. Carved pumpkins will not be entered into the contest and will be sent back home. All pumpkins must be a maximum of 8 ½ by 11 inches in size. To decorate you can use paper, glue, paint, markers, pipe cleaners, fabric, or other craft items on the pumpkin. Let your creativity soar! 2. Pumpkins should represent your family. This includes family members, heritage, nationality, customs, how your family spends their time, etc. On the entry form you must include your name, grade, and homeroom/classroom teacher. 3. This is a home project and pumpkins should be created by students and their families. 4. Families who have more than one student at THA, may choose to enter more than one pumpkin. However, students from the same family may fill out individual entry forms for the same pumpkin. 5. Write your name in pencil on the back of the pumpkin. 6. Pumpkins will be judged according to the following categories: K‐2, 3‐5, 6‐8 Interactive Family Pumpkin Project & Staff Project 1. The K‐8 judging will be conducted by a panel of judges. 2. Teachers/staff may enter a pumpkin in the staff category. Students will vote for this category when they visit the cafeteria.
