A message regarding our football program

Dear NECSD community,
I am writing to provide an update regarding our football program. In an effort to improve the operations of all of our athletic programs, beginning this past fall, Handbooks for athletes and coaches were reviewed and signed by players, parents/guardians, and coaches. Given these efforts, there should be no surprises regarding the expectations and standards we hold for participants of our athletic program. We will continue to impress these standards upon those who participate in our athletic program and will continue to make strides toward improvement, as we do with all of our initiatives throughout our district.
In the Newburgh Enlarged City School District, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and student well-being. Investigations into alleged violations of our Code of Conduct and Student-Athlete Handbook by certain members of our football team are now complete. All staff and student matters have been addressed. The decisions made are in collaboration with our Board of Education and were taken with careful consideration. We remain committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all of our children.
Newburgh Free Academy has a long and proud history of athletic success, built on a foundation of dedication, sportsmanship, camaraderie, and community pride. Our teams have not only competed at high levels but have also fostered student-athletes who demonstrate leadership and respect both on and off the field. We remain dedicated to preserving this legacy and ensuring that our athletic programs reflect the values that have made us a source of pride for our students, families, and alumni. As we look to rebuild our program, we welcome qualified applicants for coaching positions, from our NTA bargaining unit. When applicable, other applicants will be considered based on our standard practices.

Un mensaje sobre nuestro programa de fútbol
Estimada comunidad de NECSD:
Les escribo para brindarles una actualización sobre nuestro programa de fútbol. En un esfuerzo por mejorar las operaciones de todos nuestros programas deportivos, a partir del otoño pasado, los jugadores, padres/tutores y entrenadores revisaron y firmaron los manuales para atletas y entrenadores. Dados estos esfuerzos, no debería haber sorpresas con respecto a las expectativas y estándares que tenemos para los participantes de nuestro programa deportivo. Continuaremos inculcando estos estándares a quienes participan en nuestro programa deportivo y continuaremos avanzando hacia la mejora, como lo hacemos con todas nuestras iniciativas en todo nuestro distrito.
En el Distrito Escolar Ampliado de la Ciudad de Newburgh, estamos comprometidos a mantener los más altos estándares de integridad, responsabilidad y bienestar estudiantil. Las investigaciones sobre presuntas violaciones de nuestro Código de Conducta y el Manual del Estudiante-Atleta por parte de ciertos miembros de nuestro equipo de fútbol ya están completas. Se han abordado todos los asuntos relacionados con el personal y los estudiantes. Las decisiones se tomaron en colaboración con nuestra Junta de Educación y se tomaron con una cuidadosa consideración. Seguimos comprometidos con mantener un entorno seguro y respetuoso para todos nuestros niños.
Newburgh Free Academy tiene una larga y orgullosa historia de éxito deportivo, construida sobre una base de dedicación, espíritu deportivo, camaradería y orgullo comunitario. Nuestros equipos no solo han competido en niveles altos, sino que también han fomentado estudiantes-atletas que demuestran liderazgo y respeto tanto dentro como fuera del campo. Seguimos dedicados a preservar este legado y garantizar que nuestros programas deportivos reflejen los valores que nos han convertido en una fuente de orgullo para nuestros estudiantes, familias y exalumnos. Mientras buscamos reconstruir nuestro programa, damos la bienvenida a los solicitantes calificados para puestos de entrenadores, de nuestra unidad de negociación de NTA. Cuando corresponda, se considerarán otros solicitantes en función de nuestras prácticas estándar.
