SECTION 9 CHAMPIONSHIPS | Boys Wrestling
Three members of the NFA Boys Wrestling team are Section 9 Champions! With three additional athletes qualifying, the NFA Boys Wrestling team is sending six athletes to compete at states - the most athletes in school history!
Will Soto (108) FIRST Place
Cooper Merli (116) FIRST Place
Christopher Leggett (215) FIRST Place
Matthew Mercado (131) SECOND Place
Jordan Busby (116) THIRD Place
Billy Coughlin (190) THIRD Place
Cooper Merli was awarded Most Outstanding Wrestler at the sectional tournament.
All athletes listed will advance to the state competition.
The NFA Boys Wrestling Team took 2nd place overall.
The NFA Boys Wrestling team is coached be head coach Will Parks, Concetta, and Heslen.
