Assemblyman Jacobson Discusses Career in Politics at Alma Mater

Assemblyman Jonathan Jacobson recently visited Newburgh Free Academy, his alma mater, to speak with high school students about pursuing a career in politics. During his visit, Assemblyman Jacobson outlined the steps involved in being elected to the New York State Assembly. He provided an overview of the state budget process, the legislative process for passing bills, and encouraged students to visit Albany for a firsthand experience of the New York State government in action, including a tour of the State Capitol.
