NFA Book Club | October Selection
The NFA Book Club will be reading My Throat an Open Grave by Tori Bovalino as their October selection. The meeting to discuss the book is scheduled for November 7th.
Previous book selections for the 2024 school year have included:
We Are All So Good at Smiling by Amber McBride | September read
Stories were selected by students via a compilation of responses from a survey sent to all NFA students.
Each month, students, faculty, and staff join together to discuss the book, along with their observations and reflections on the story. The NFA Book Club selected to read these titles in 2023.
20 copies of each book have been generously donated by the Superintendent's office. Copies are available by signing up at your NFA library or contacting Ms. O'Neill at AONeill@necsd.net. All NFA students are welcome to participate.
The NFA Book Club is led by school librarians/media specialists Ms. Amanda O'Neill and Ms. Aidamelia Espaillat. The group is open to all NFA students and rotates the location.
