Veterans Honored at NFA Varsity Basketball Game

Hope for Warriors hosted it's 3rd Annual event at an NFA Varsity Basketball Game this week. Hope For The Warriors is a national nonprofit organization in the United States that provides assistance to combat wounded service members, their families, and families of those killed in action. The organization focuses on those involved in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom and their families. Hope For The Warriors recently received a Four-Star Rating from Charity Navigator.

Ms. Bernadette Saladino, teacher at NFA, Main Campus coordinated the event at the high school. "This organization provides services - mental, emotional, and physical. I got started working with them because my son is a veteran and it's a way that I can make people aware of all of the sacrifices our veterans make. It has really been a great way to make positive connections with our community, our school, and our veterans. The ROTC program here has been so supportive!"
