HEADING TO STATES | NFA Girls Track
Natalia Sweat is heading to states to represent the NFA Girls Track team! Natalia qualified for the Outdoor Track State Championship in the 2000 meter Steeplechase. She will compete on Saturday June 8th in Syracuse, NY. Great racing Natalia!
According to the Mid-Hudson Times, article on May 30, 2024 about the Section IX Championship, Goldbacks finish second in Section 9 track and field:
Natalia Sweat finished second in the girls’ 2,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 7:39.67.
Savannah Smith was third in the girls’ discus throw, reaching 89-04.
The girls’ 3,200-meter relay team of Alexandra Swink, Natalia Sweat, Mary Jane Politi and Evangely Torres was third with a time of 10:13.09.
The 1,600-meter relay team of Sweat, Swink, Jaslene Cheatham and Gabrielle Robles were third with a time of 4:08.03.
Gabrielle Robles was fourth in the girls’ 200-meter dash with a time of 26.34 seconds and Alyssa Worrell was sixth with a personal-best time of 26.98 seconds. Robles also took sixth in the girls’ 400-meter dash with a time of 1:00.99.
Jimeiris Morales was fourth in the girls’ high jump, clearing a personal best height of 4-8.
Victoria Frazier was fifth in the long jump, reaching a personal-best 15-7.75.
The girls’ 400-meter relay team of Kiana Peay, Robles, Crystal Beauford and Worrell was fifth in 51.24 seconds.
