Temple Hill Academy Band and Orchestra Musicians Participate in NYSSMA Solo Music Festival
The Temple Hill Academy Band and Orchestra students participated in the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) solo Music festival in Suffern NY. Mr. Placencia and Ms. Frazer accompanied their students Kassandra Bravo (7 grade Violin), Clare Smith (8 grade Viola), Javier Bravo (6 grade Tenor Saxophone), Yedial Alicea (8th grade Trumpet), Yeshayah Desir (8th Grade Percussion), and Gabriella Jackson (8th grade Tenor Saxophone). They had to prepare a solo piece for their instrument and perform it for an adjudicator. It was a great experience for all!
