Gardnertown Celebrates Students with Commanding Level for English Language Proficiency
Gardnertown Leadership Academy recognized 16 students who reached the Commanding level for English Language Proficiency on the 2022 or 2023 New York State English as a Second Language Achievement Test (NYSESLAT). The NYSESLAT is given to all students who are identified as English Language Learners (ELLs) to annually assess their English language proficiency levels. Families and friends joined the leaders at Gardnertown to celebrate their achievement as ENL teachers, Bilingual teachers, and administration acknowledged students' hard work and determination. The following students received certificates and awards: Sophia Acosta, Dioscarina Diaz Rodriguez, Jose Gutierrez Saravia, Nahomy Paz Monterroza, Geissie Ortega Arriaga, Valerie Sanchez Sandoval, Allison Guity Velasquez, Micheille Runciman, Jefferson Andino Melendez, Alexandra Cohetero, Ruber Jovel Anariba, Meyli Membreno Marquez, Kelvin Perez Cruz, Anderson Lopez Bravo, Alvaro Lopez Bravo, and Daliza Rosario Matos.
