New Windsor School Celebrates Women's History Month!
New Windsor School hosted a Women's Empowerment Assembly featuring three leaders from the local community. Our guests included Inaudy Gil, the Executive Director of the Human Rights Commission of Orange County; Janet Bisti, the current Director of Elementary Education at Poughkeepsie City School District and previous ELA teacher in Newburgh schools; and Dr. Dana Gavin, the Writing Center Director at Dutchess Community College. New Windsor's student leaders joined our guests on stage to ask them questions about their experiences as women in leadership positions. Our guests inspired our third, fourth, and fifth-grade students to pursue their dreams and work hard to reach their goals. Thank you to everyone who participated!
