Goldbacks in the News! Two Excelsior Students Recognized as Black Pioneers in Newburgh!

Newburgh Free Academy, North Campus Excelsior Academy students, Kailyn Bremmer and Ameesah Cotton were recognized by SUNY Orange this weekend as part of their “Black Pioneers of Newburgh: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” ceremony at the Newburgh campus. 

Co-organizer of the Saturday event, Ramona Burton, envisioned showcasing an inter-generational representation of achievement and progress in the local African-American community during Black History Month. 

Congratulations to Ms. Bremmer and Ms. Cotton!
