Temple Hill Academy Scholars Engage in Kindness Campaign
Through the months of February and March, students at Temple Hill Academy participated in a Kindness Campaign. Students who demonstrated kindness throughout the school day were acknowledged during the morning announcements with the support and encouragement of the teachers and administrators. In addition, students in grades K-5 learned about what it means to be kind and different ways kindness can be demonstrated through art with Miss Reyes, the K-5 art teacher. Kindergarten students made a “Who is Kind?” Owl drawings that they took home to remind them that they are kind through their actions. First Grade students collaborated to create word collages that demonstrate or represent “Kindness.” Second and Third grade students learned about Positive and Negative Space art that tied with positive and negative actions. Our Fourth and Fifth Grade students created Op Hearts with a rainbow drip that symbolizes that Kindness can make a difference and impact on someone. Temple Hill is so proud and hopes to continue encouraging students on being Kind.
