32 Musicians Invited to OCMEA Jr. High All County Auditions
On Saturday, February 3, 2024, thirty two music students from Heritage and South Middle Schools, Temple Hill Academy, Meadow Hill GEM School, and Newburgh Free Academy Main Campus attended the OCMEA Jr. High All County Auditions at Warwick Valley Middle School. These students had to prepare and perform from high-level musical literature for accredited adjudicators. Their results will be compared with other music students (grades 7-9) from across Orange County. Those students accepted will be invited to perform at the OCMEA Jr. High All County Music Festival in May.
Students were joined by their teachers: Ms. Allen (HMS), Ms. Antonelli-Guido (NFAM), Mr. Camara (THA), Ms. Clina (HMS), Mrs. Flynn (GAMS), Mr. Hickey (HMS), Miss Karathomas (MHS), Mrs. Morano (NFAM), Mr. Robles (SMS), Mr. Santacroce (SMS), Ms. Shackelton (MHS), Mr. Swetz (NFAM) as well as Ms. Kristen Johnsen the Director of Fine and Performing Arts for NECSD.
