Hello Goldbacks,

Due to the forecast predicting an extended period of heavy rains added to melting snow, high winds, and mixed precipitation, all schools and district offices will be dismissed early today, Tuesday, January 9, to allow time for our school community to arrive home safely.

Please refer to the following schedule for the dismissal schedule for today. This schedule differs from our standard ½ day early dismissal schedule, so please read carefully for your child’s dismissal time. Dismissal protocols at each school will remain the same:

• 11:30am dismissal | NFA Main, NFA North, NFA West, Heritage Middle, and South Middle (Tier 1)
• 12:30pm dismissal | GAMS, Meadow Hill, Temple Hill and Vails Gate STEAM Academy (Tier 2)
• 1:30pm dismissal | Balmville, Fostertown, Gardnertown, Horizons, New Windsor, and Pre-K @ GAMS (Tier 3)

Students will receive breakfast and most students should receive a lunch in school or to bring home.

All after-school activities and evening classes are canceled for today. The Board of Education meeting scheduled today is rescheduled to Thursday, January 11th.

Please refer to a message that Central Hudson released last night regarding the storm and preparations and precautions that can be made to keep your family safe.

We will continue to monitor conditions in our district and keep our community updated regarding any impacts to tomorrow’s schedule.
