Mathematics Pilot Program (K-8) Survey | iReady Classroom

Dear NECSD Parent/Guardian (K-8):
 
We are pleased to inform you that this school year the Newburgh Enlarged City School District is piloting
i-Ready Classroom Mathematics (iRC), a new math core curriculum resource for grades K-8 to potentially
adopt for the 2024-2025 school year and beyond. It is essential that we adopt a new core Math resource fully
aligned to the New York State’s Next Generation Learning Standards (NGLS). Teaching and learning
throughout the pilot will continue as normal. There will be no interruption of the standards that your child should
know by the end of the year. We are only utilizing a different platform.
 
i-Ready Classroom Mathematics (iRC) meets or exceeds all of the metrics set forth by the division of
Curriculum and Instruction and was ranked highly by the Textbook and Core Program Adoption Team after
presentations. Furthermore, the program offers our Multilingual learners a direct translation and online
component in Spanish. iRC is fully aligned to New York State’s Next Generation Learning Standards (NGLS)
and the digital assessments and math tools prepare our students for Computer Based Testing to be
implemented this school year.
 
We will be offering parents multiple opportunities to provide input and suggestions throughout the year.

Nos complace informarles que este año escolar el Distrito Escolar de la Ciudad Ampliada de Newburgh está
probando i-Ready Classroom Mathematics (IRC), un nuevo recurso de currículo básico de matemáticas para
los grados K-8 que potencialmente adoptará para el año escolar 2024-2025 y más allá. Es esencial que
adoptemos un nuevo recurso básico de matemáticas totalmente alineado con los Estándares de Aprendizaje
de Próxima Generación (NGLS) del Estado de Nueva York. La enseñanza y el aprendizaje a lo largo del
programa piloto continuarán de forma normal. No habrá interrupción de los estándares que su hijo debe
conocer al final del año. Solo estamos utilizando una plataforma diferente.
 
i-Ready Classroom Mathematics (IRC) cumple o excede todas las métricas establecidas por la división de
Currículo e Instrucción y fue clasificado altamente por el libro de texto y el Equipo de Adopción del Programa
Básico después de las presentaciones. Además, el programa ofrece a nuestros estudiantes multilingües una
traducción directa y componente en línea en español. IRC está totalmente alineado con los Estándares de
Aprendizaje de Próxima Generación (NGLS) del Estado de Nueva York y las evaluaciones digitales y las
herramientas matemáticas preparan a nuestros estudiantes para las pruebas basadas en computadora que se
implementarán este año escolar.
