New Windsor School Gives Out February Big Heart Award & It's a Family Affair
This month's Big Heart Award was given to an individual who fills the school building and community with love, compassion, and laughs. The recipient is no stranger to the Newburgh Enlarged City School District, with deep family ties and roots. His parents (who Face-timed in to see their son receive his award) were long time district employees, his father an Assistant Principal at South Junior High and his mother a district Tax Office personnel member. His three loving sisters are all current teachers throughout the district as well. This individual embodies all that the district and New Windsor School stand for, and is always "doing it with LOVE".
Mr. James Formato is this month's Big Heart Award recipient! His genuine care and sense of compassion for not only his colleagues and students, but for the community at large as well is second to none. He remains a constant support in his students lives long after they leave his classroom and New Windsor School. Mr. Formato is always willing to lend a helping hand.
