NFA West Freshman Class attend a “Leave to Learn” Event at Sportsplex

The NFA West freshmen class participated in a leaving-to-learn activity at Sportsplex in New Windsor. This idea was spearheaded by Senior Leonardo Guzman. Leo interned at Sportsplex last year and for his LTI project decided to create this Leaving-to-Learn event for every incoming freshman class, in the future, as a way to introduce SMART goals. Leo worked with two departments to make this cross-curricular project a reality. Ms. Melissa Siegel’s health and physical education and Mr. Dennis Maher's freshman English classes are now the beneficiaries of this effort.
