Temple Hill Academy’s Food Drive Helps The Elderly
Temple Hill Academy’s National Junior Honor Society sponsored THA’s annual Holiday Food Drive, collecting 75 bags of non-perishable food to help feed local individuals and families in need. This is always a collaborative effort; teachers, students, custodians, security, office staff, and administration all worked together to fill the shelves of Saint Mary’s Hope, which is run by Mrs. Suzananne Campora and her husband Rich. Many recipients of the donations are the elderly in the City of Newburgh who are without transportation. Mrs. Campora summarized the experience, “we simply couldn’t do this without the help of Temple Hill.”
Advisors Lina Lynch and Caroline Schwind also credit Hannaford of New Windsor and Walden for donating the reusable bags and John and Brett from Home Depot for transporting all of the goods!
When we work together, great things happen.
