New Windsor School Patriotic Reading & Breakfast Day!
On Tuesday, November 14, 2023, New Windsor scholars welcomed Veterans and Active Duty personnel to the school in honor of Veteran’s Day. They were invited for breakfast, a musical instrumental performance thanks to talented students and Mrs. Petruncola. After this, they were each brought to a class by Clintonians and were able to read and talk all about their experiences. Students were beyond excited as they listened, learned, and asked important questions. The students worked to turn the building into a sea of red, white, and blue. The goal of this day was to instill the importance of patriotism and respect for those who have and continue to fight for our freedoms. This day was made possible thanks to teamwork from the entire building. Special thanks to Ms. Bowe, Ms. DePuy, and Ms. Roberts (retired) who were key organizers of this event. Special thanks to Ms. Deforest, Ms. Kennedy, Ms. Quinci, Mrs. Dembra, Ms. Lynch, Mr. Camt, and Mr. Lee.
