GAMS Hosts "Get in the Zone" SEL Night
On Thursday, October 19 the GAMS Parent Engagement Team hosted their SEL Night "Get in the Zone." The team provided insight on the school's Social Emotional Learning Program, the Zones of Regulation. Through a series of video clips, students and their families learned what it means to be in the green, blue, yellow and red zones. The team shared that it is in fact ok to be feeling angry (red zone), sad (blue zone) or overly excited (yellow zone) as long as you have the tools to get back in the green zone. The students played a scenario game and then the families joined back together to create their own SEL toolkit to use at home!
