Advanced Placement (AP) Exam Information | Fall 2023

To parents/guardians of students in AP Classes,
We want to thank you and your child for making the decision to further challenge themselves by signing up for one of our many Advanced Placement (AP) classes offered at Newburgh Free Academy. When a student is enrolled in an AP course, it is expected that they will take the subsequent exam in May. To help alleviate any financial burden this may cause, our district will be covering the cost of all AP exams again.
Your child should have received a class code and directions on how to enroll for the individual classes’ online platform as well as identify that they will be electing to take the exam. Our district’s deadline to register for these exams will be Monday, November 6th, 2023 for Fall Exams and can be done by logging into the College Board website. If your child is enrolled in a spring semester class, the deadline to register for those will be shared after the second semester begins. All exams, dates, and times for May 2024 can also be found on the college board website. As we near the spring exams, we will be providing more information on testing times, locations, and transportation.
