New Windsor School's Final Gold Card Activity of the Year
On June 22 New Windsor School had its third trimester Gold Card Event to celebrate all the students who followed the New Windsor School Expectations: Be Responsible, Respectful, Ready and Safe. Students in grades K-5 visited the animal kingdom in assemblies with Prehistoric World (prehistoricworld.org). Crocodile Crystal introduced various reptiles from around the world to NWS students, and scholars interacted with the reptiles while learning about them and their history and relevance in the environment and beyond. Gold Card Events are part of the NWS Positive Behavior Supports and Intervention (PBIS) program, co-facilitated by music teacher Mary Petruncola and school psychologist Kelly Caci.
