NECSD Artists Reception and Permanent Art Collection
Student artists throughout the Newburgh Enlarged City School District have their pieces on display at the Newburgh Free Library lobby until June 1, 2023. Teachers submitted artwork from students who demonstrated a clear understanding of the concepts being taught within the projects, as well as an individual creativity that made their work stand out. Student works will be returned to the students after being showcased.
Select works have been chosen for the NECSD Permanent Art Collection. The Permanent Art Collection will remain hanging at the Board of Education until next year, at which time the works will be returned to the individual schools for permanent installation. The students' responses to the art educators' instruction represents the high quality instruction being provided within the NECSD.
