Vails Gate STEAM Academy Opens Its Doors to Families for Multicultural Day
On Friday, May 19th, Vails Gate STEAM Academy opened its doors for a Multicultural Celebration for students, faculty, and families. Many of the staff and students wore traditional garments or a shirt representative of their native countries. Some scholars created projects detailing the history and traditions of their cultures. Parents and guardians prepared traditional dishes to share with their scholars' classmates. Many classrooms had music playing and students dancing traditional dances. There were decorations and flags from around the world. The celebration allowed for students, their family members, and teachers to learn about and experience different cultures. The students were amazed at how many similarities there were between their cultures and also curious to learn more about the differences.
