Vails Gate STEAM Academy Security Monitor Saves 2nd Grade Scholar!
On Thursday, April 20th, Mr. Tyreek Johnson, a security monitor at Vails Gate STEAM Academy, noticed a student choking while eating lunch in the cafeteria. He quickly jumped into action and performed the Heimlich maneuver as the student was in distress. Mr. Johnson's quick response saved this student's life and a more serious emergency was avoided.
We commend Mr. Johnson for his vigilance and quick response and are so thankful that he was able to use his training to render aid to the 2nd Grade student.
Well done Mr. Johnson! We appreciate you!
