NECSD School Community Celebrates World Down Syndrome Day!
March 21st was World Down Syndrome Day! This year's theme was: With Us Not For Us. We asked our school community to celebrate this special day with us and people all around the world by wearing mismatched socks! March 21st (3/21) was selected as a symbolic day because people with Down Syndrome have 3 copies of their 21st chromosome.
A special thanks to the following people for sharing their photos!:
Sisters Rachel Ferrante on left 5th grade and Ashley Ferrante on right 9th grade NFA Main. Rocking their socks for World Down Syndrome Day.
Ms. Kelly Purdy's 1st grade class at GAMS.
