Local Dentist Visits Meadow Hill Scholars

Newburgh's own, Dr. Gina Prokosch-Cook, visited Meadow Hill GEM School to talk to the young scholars about her career as a dentist.  She demonstrated to the students how to properly brush their teeth and discussed healthy food and drink choices.  Dr. Cook also shared actual x-rays and explained them in detail to the children. The students enjoyed the presentation and were encouraged to continue the healthy habits they learned from their special visitor. 

Dr. Cook is a native of Newburgh, New York, growing up just a few miles from her current office location. She graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1986, where she was a multi-sport athlete and president of her class.
