Temple Hill 6th Graders present: Ecosystems in a Bottle
6th Grade scholars in Ms. Vogt's class completed a science lab in which they created a pond ecosystem in a bottle. Students researched the biotic and abiotic factors in a pond ecosystem as well as the food chains supported in a pond. Students worked in groups to show the relationships between a terrestrial ecosystem and an aquatic ecosystem. In the end, each student got to pick a fish and give it a name! After a few days of observation in the classroom, the students then got to take their little fishy home!
