NFA Varsity Girls Soccer Players Named as All-Stars

The NFA Girls Varsity team leader in goals, Marina Parodo was named a Section 9 all-section all-star by the Section 9 Coaches Association for the second season in a row. Last year, Marina Parodo was also named a third-team all-state all-star by the New York State Sportswriters and Coaches Association for Girls Sports.

Riley Frederick, another key part of the Goldbacks’ offensive game, was named a Section 9 Class AA all-star for the 2022 fall season. Riley was named to this all-star team last year as well. 

The Goldbacks’ offense flowed through Parodo, leading Newburgh to an 8-8-1 overall record and a second-place finish in the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association Division I, and a berth in the Section 9 Class AA semifinals.

Both athletes are expected back next year.
