Local Sorority Alumnae and SUNY Orange Host FAFSA Workshop
Since fall 2017, the Mid-Hudson Valley Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in collaboration with SUNY Orange Financial Aid Director Mr. Maynard Schmidt and School Counselors at Newburgh Free Academy have partnered to offer a FAFSA Completion Workshop for the parents of graduating seniors. This collaboration was inspired by a former parent and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. who found the FAFSA application process to be very challenging, so she opened the door to offer a workshop to help families make applying for financial aid easier. November 10th marked the fifth year of the annual workshop hosted at the NFA Main Campus.
