Temple Hill Scholars Celebrate Thanksgiving and ARC Core Unit Completion with Medieval Feast
Two Temple Hill Academy teachers celebrated Thanksgiving and their completion of an ARC Core Unit by converting a classroom into a "Great Hall". Their hallway and classroom were decorated with medieval castle decorations.
Scholars in Mrs. Gueits-Saunders and Mrs. Sanchez's classes recently finished reading the Magic Treehouse, The Knight at Dawn. As a culminating ARC Unit activity, the students and their teachers participated in a Medieval Feast. Each scholar was given a knight's helmet or a medieval flower crown to wear during the feast. The teachers were also in character as the ladies of the Great Hall. Mrs. Guetis-Sauders, Mrs. Sanchez and Mrs. King served their students mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, corn, cranberry sauce, and of course - turkey. When visitors arrived to the classroom, the children welcomed their new guests to "The Great Hall". Pies, cookies and other desserts were served after the Medieval Thanksgiving meal was
