GAMS Bilingual Kindergarten Class Visited by Two Special Guests
On Wednesday, November 9th, Mrs. Gil-Arias’ Bilingual Kindergarten class was visited by MSgt Tony Alvarado and his brother SSgt Osvaldo Alvarado of the 105th Base Defense Squadron, Stewart Air National Guard Base. Each are former GAMS bilingual students and are also the sons of Teaching Assistant Ms. Fiscal. The scholars listened to a book entitled “La bandera estadounidense” and learned about the flag and other American symbols. In addition, the students asked the soldiers questions and thanked them for their service.
