Heritage Middle School Celebrates Veterans
Heritage Middle School hosted their annual celebration of Veterans. Students, faculty, and staff invited Veterans who are special to them to a celebratory breakfast. The breakfast included an art project coordinated by art teacher Ms. McCarthy, performances by the Heritage Middle School Band, directed by Mr. Hickey and the Heritage Middle School Chorus, directed by Ms. Clina. The NFA JROTC, led by Mst. Sgt. Granda presented the flag at the beginning of the event. Veterans and their families exited the event in an Honor Flight style walkway through classes of cheering students. A special guest speaker from the community shared a message to the Veterans and civilians alike.
The event was organized by Mrs. Tara Lapierre and the Heritage Middle School National Junior Honor Society.
