Ujima, the third principle of Kwanzaa, represents Collective Work and Responsibility. Join us as we celebrate art, culture, history, and story telling through the work of African American authors and illustrators in children’s literature.
In this family story time for children ages 5-8, we will gather together to read aloud the selected book and expand our experience of the book through discussion, activities and celebration. Participants will receive a copy of the book to keep to encourage reflection and foster sharing of the program experience with others in their lives. We invite families of children ages 5-8, Grades K-3, to sign up to attend. Participation is limited to 25 children.
