Heritage Middle School Students Create Exquisite Corpse Flip Book Project
Heritage Middle School students completed a collaborative project, compiled to create an exquisite corpse flip book. The book will be available in the school library for students and staff to flip through. Art students in grades 6-8 learned about the Art Movement known as Surrealism, which started after the end of WW1 in Europe, and focused on creating wild imagery, not based in reality, but instead based on dreams. The students created a painting featuring the full body of a creative animal, imaginary creature, or specific type of person standing upright to be cut into thirds and used to create a collaborative Exquisite Corpse mix & match flip book, to be displayed in the school library, and documented in a short video.
Story and videos provided by Ms. Elizabeth Mills.
