NECSD JROTC Scholars are Always Ready to Help
Air Force JROTC scholars of the Newburgh Enlarged City School District provided a much needed hand to the Family and Community Engagement (FACE) and Newburgh Free Library teams in preparation for the Back to School: School is Cool event that took place on Saturday, August 27th. The NECSD AFJROTC students helped sort through several boxes of donated school supplies. They sorted the supplies into three categories, Pre-K, Elementary, and Secondary. They then packed the aforementioned supplies into hundreds of backpacks that were ultimately distributed at the Back to School: School is Cool event. Nearly 1,100 backpacks were distributed at the event thanks to the scholars' efforts.
A very special Thank you to all who donated supplies and to the AFJROTC for their hard work and dedication to the community.
