2022 Empire ESYP at NFA Main Campus Final Day Festivities
On Thursday, August 11th, the 2022 Empire ESYP concluded with a student showcase. Each group displayed just some of what they learned or accomplished this summer. The final day's schedule began with script reading by the STEAM Focus on the Arts program followed by a performance in the NFA Main auditorium by the Empire Drumline. Scholars in the Cosmetology program held a Guess the Character challenge with mannequins they styled to resemble Disney characters. The Robotics program took over the library to display the different robots they created. The Visual Arts program created a stained glass display that reads "Empire 22" that students participated in coloring. Mr. Batista spoke briefly to scholars on the importance of exercising, eating right and keeping their bodies active prior to the Health and Fitness program playing a basketball game in the NFA Main gym. Mr. James and Mark Wenzel prepared brunch for their scholars as a thank you for their hard work throughout the summer. This was only a small sample of what NECSD scholars experienced this summer.
A huge "THANK YOU" to all of the educators who provided a wonderful experience for the Empire ESYP scholars.
