Vails Gate Scholars Participate in Art "Scavenger Hunt"
Vails Gate Steam Academy Art Specialist, Ms. Clift, created a fun and engaging way to teach scholars how to view and connect with art. Using posters of famous works of art, Ms. Clift created a “scavenger hunt” where each student is provided a list of items that can be found in each piece. The scholars are given an allotted time to work independently to locate each item from their list. Through their search, many of the scholars became so engaged that they began to notice other details within the artwork. While not every student found every single item on their list, they certainly discovered how to appreciate the finer details within works of art.
