Horizons-on-the-Hudson Hosts Career Day
In preparation for the IB Exhibition, students in Ms. Amaro, and Ms.Fox’s fifth grade class have been discussing what their life may look like beyond Academy Field. This has included thinking about their dream careers and what colleges offer programs they may be interested in. After expressing what careers they would like, we invited volunteers in the chosen fields and invited them in to speak with our scholars in person or virtually. These interviews allowed students to get a greater sense of what the jobs entail, what are some challenges and what they need to achieve this goal.
List of Interviewees:
Nicole Gonzalez - Business Owner - Digital Marketing Agency (SolAssistance)
Crystal Sanchez - Baker (Melina's Munchies)
Jonathan Salgado - "Rapz"- DJ/ Music Producer (YaBoiRapz)
